Do you want help with managing your finances? Does it feel like your money is controlling you more than the other way around? CAP Money Course helps teach people budgeting skills and a simple, cash-based system that really works. This course will help people to get more in control of their finances so they can save, give and prevent debt.

Making Connections Across Generations

Why not come and join us every Tuesday morning from 10.30am – 1.00pm at the Elim Christian Centre and connect with others from across Glossop. 

With coffee, tea and cakes mid-morning followed by a light lunch at noon, you’ll leave full of good conversations and good food! 

 

Silver Cord

Silver Cord is a befriending service available to anyone in Tameside and Glossop who are suffering from the distressing effects of isolation and loneliness.  The service is free to those in need and is provided by trained, DBS-checked volunteers from partner churches across Tameside and Glossop.

The Bureau is Glossop’s community well-being charity. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for local communities. They identify needs in the local community and work with members of the community to support one another in meeting those needs.There’s life skills support groups, allotment groups, creative groups, coffee mornings – all kinds of ways of getting connected.

Protem Counselling

Sometimes we can do with some longer term support that helps us find healing and wholeness.  We would recommend contacting Protem professional counselling service. As a Christian Counselling Charity they are affiliated with both the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within the ethical framework of each professional body. Based in Didsbury they provide flexible support that can be in-person, but also online.
